We just couldn’t get enough of Queensland. There was so much to see and do and spectacular natural beauty was everywhere. We spent a lot of time on the road, and there were times when every bend in the road revealed another breathtaking view.

We spent a day hiking the trails of the Glass House Mountains, a group of seven incredible peaks in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. If hiking isn’t your thing, you can also ride horses in the mountains, giving you the chance to move at a leisurely pace as you take in the awesome views. The Australia Zoo, founded by Steve Irwin, is located close by as well. The Inskip Peninsula, bordered on one side by the Pacific Ocean and on the other by the placid Tin Can Bay, is a great place for camping and enjoying all the water and sun you can stand. Finally, as if we weren’t blown away by all of Queensland’s beautiful sites, we visited Noosa, a cool, laid-back town that is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, where we saw everything from exotic birds to whales! If it wasn’t already clear, Francesco and I had an amazing time in Queensland.
